EDO London Ladies Classic/Open, 22/23 October

Post by Ginge »

I think this deserves its own thread.

Looks like these two events have applied for points and got them (red dots on the BDO website shows this), well done to the EDO for giving those who dont fancy travelling abroad that week a choice of events :DDDD: :DDDD: :DDDD: :WWWW: :WWWW:

The EDO seem to have a penchant for that particular weekend, didn't they clash with it last year.
Also i do hope the EDO stop whining about the BDO clashing events with their stuff in future

Tommy Thompson
2310 miles away always going to have clashes and not everyone has £600 and able to take holidays in two seperate weeks dates are at a prime in the beginning of the season. Turkey has been promoted for 9 months now suppose everyone who was going has already booked. From posts seem it has been well supported however it is not an event which has been supported very much in the past when not attached to world/europe cup.

In any case, the BDO for years listed the Turkish Open as a "Non-Europe Event" so with these London events it means they is now a "Europe Event" now on the calendar, all hail the EDO for filling the gap in the calendar.

The point being that this will thus not entice anyone who was going to Turkey (but not yet booked) from changing their mind/ Thus there should be no complaints.

Well, it might. A couple of days in London work out cheaper than a week in Turkey. It certainly wont get anyone who has already booked Turkey to change their minds, though. Not until next year at least....
