A great attitude and mind set from McGeeney, which helped him through Q School, and will stand him in good stead over his 1st year in the PDC. Hope he continues to progress and qualification for the WC would completely vindicate his decision to switch codes.

You would think, that, being the BDO World Number One, he would be put under some sort of pressure heading into Q-School. “Not one little bit, I wanted to get my tour card and I was confident I would.“ McGeeney stated.

Appalling grammar and missing words aside (I know meaning can be lost in translation, but not whole words), but referring to Wade as a former World Championship winner is just showing abysmal darts knowledge/research.

In fairness, he has had a very good year, and with the exception of the Grand Slam has qualified for all the big tournaments over the last 4 months of the year.

Thought his comment that joining the PDC was the equivalent of Willy Wonka's golden ticket very apt.
