Murphio wrote:That 144 is one of the best shots I have ever seen. Unbelieveable. In a discussion about Stephen Bunting a couple of years ago I said, to some amusement on here, that Bunting wasn't even the best player in the org he was leaving behind. I absolutely stand by that statement - for me Scott Waites, at his best, is a fantastic dart player and is arbuably the best player in the BDO since Barney. Injury has hampered him but he is a cracking player.

Nice words Murphio, honestly that's top stuff and I agree !!!

Why is it a shame that the BDO can keep high quality players?

isnt that a good thing?

I was being sarcastic obviously as presumably you don't
know Noppert said weeks ago he's staying the BDO.

Why sarcasm to a serious point. Ive no idea what his intentions are but i reiterate if a top player stays that has to be good doesnt it.
They certainly need them

Its good for the BDO, but not neccesarily for darts. The best players are in the PDC. Noppert looks like a player who could jump over into the top 32 easily and improve his game again. He could then go higher still.

Apologies then, thought it was common knowledge he's staying in the BDO - it was certainly posted on this forum.

Yes indeed, great he's staying!!!

Well if the best players are in the PDC won't he be displacing one if he makes top 32? So your argument is very flawed.....the best players are not all in the PDC.

I didnt say they were ALL. In the PDC. However even you cant agree that the majority of them are. My top 32 comment was based on where i think he would fit now.

As for people saying Noppert definately staying and it being mentioned previously. Ive heard that line a number of times. Most recently Mr Bunting said it after winning lakeside then leaving the following week!

I will admit that the top 6 best players are there, and these are the ones who normally make it to the business ends of tournaments. But after that it's difficult to define clearly.

Looking forward to the semis after that wonderful match last night, noppert might have a future in the top end of darts if he works hard.

this has been the best lakeside for a few years lots of good games as well lets hope semi and final just as good

in the mens the last 4 get invited back to next year event do the same happens in the woman's event for people that make the final so Corrinne Hammond gets invited back next year i think be good for womans game if she won it

What's happened to fitton? Thought a couple of years back that he and tos we're yesterday's men.

had I made a wrong judgement back then and he hadn't been going downhill or has he simply turned his game around?

Is it actually common knowledge

the only thing Ive actually seen is someone claiming to be his brother on the youtube chat talking about it, hardly a good source of information when Hitler and Ghandi was also on it yesterday

Think it was posted on the Darts Freakz web site which is usually a decent source of news. Think Noppert also put the same on his Facebook page!

I wouldnt have had Noppert high on a list of switchers anyway. When you think about it I think it would make sense to stay where he is for at least another year.
