Reading about a Balls-up (no pun intended!) in the draw? Ball number 5 was in the bag twice - had to be declared void and the draw restarted.

Didn't see it myself, but apparently they just threw the same set of balls back into the bag and it worked fine then. So probably no two 5's, somebody just misread some other number for 5 the first time around. Anyway, they took they recorded video offline quickly. :) Been reposted since then, minus the messed-up part. Did anyone record the full version?

A 3 was drawn and called as 5 I have read.

Wdt and the masters at this venue. Looking at the draw: similar players at the same venue. Talk about saturation. Hope this is a one off (ie all 3 comps here). Can't even call the bdo wc: lakeside. Diluted, not strengthened the brand imo.

Why the fuck do the get OAP's to draw it.

Get at least some semi professional people to do the draw. Maybe spec savers could be the new sponsor for this going forward on channels 4 fornthe next 2years.

I watched it whilst at work, they called one of the numbers as a 5 then looked dumbfounded when they picked out another 5. Within seconds it was realised it was an error so they declared that draw null and void and restarted it. No biggie.

With the array of comedians and the peeps from Gogglebox, some of them should have done it.
If they use the coverage well and get the players involved in some of the C4 programmes they could get that cult market that C4 gets and maybe pick up the other events. lots of work to do for both sides if they want to extend that contract.

Ive found out the reason why they did the redraw.

They started out drawing it and were rushing because one of them had a bus to catch. Then they saw it go past through the window so they thought they would stop and take their time as it was 20 minutes till the next one.

As has been said every other time the BDO goes on a new channel. And it only ever lasts and event.

It happens. They did the best thing to start again. But agree with Tony would be better to have someone that has 20/20 vision doing it.
Wasn't there a balls up in the Scottish FA Cup this year with the draw.

Yes, England entered a team as they can't win anything else :DDD:

Wdt and the masters at this venue. Looking at the draw: similar players at the same venue. Talk about saturation. Hope this is a one off (ie all 3 comps here). Can't even call the bdo wc: lakeside. Diluted, not strengthened the brand imo.

i agree i think world masters and wdt need different venues next year this year they did well for the events to get on tv and take place next year new venues Need to be found

Heard the WC in 2018 will be put out to tender to venues as deal with Lakeside is up and the money received from Channel 4 will be put into that world Champs and not the up and coming one.

??? Seems a strange idea. Though you would imagine if it is happening the process would be stating soon. However never realised the BDO had a "deal" with lakeside. Thought it was a long standing agreement. If true this sounds like a Wayne idea where someone is talking into someone's ear and it all goes down hill after that.

Last thing they should do is mess with the one great consistency

Updated the draw now no non-drawn player can win Masters.
Roger Janssen plays Mark McGrath
Jimmy Hendriks plays David Cameron
