World Championship Betting thread
Hi.
I'm thinking of doing an accumulator each day and as I'm not a regular betting man I though it would be good to get peoples thoughts each day about the matches, where the value is and what accumulators people are looking at.
Jamie Caven (5/4)
Kevin Painter (3/4)
Jamie Lewis (4/6)
Mick McGowan (7/5)
Gary Anderson (1/14)
Mark Frost (12/1)
Michael Smith (4/9)
Ricky Evans (9/4)
I'm looking at a straight accumulator for tonight and looking at Anderson, Smith and Caven being the value (Painter not on form). But what do people think about Lewis vs McGowan....??

Re: World Championship Betting thread
I wouldnt even bother with the Anderson leg unless you bet on him with a handicap. Coral have him as low as 1/20 just for the match. 1/2 to win in straight sets, though.

I don't like anything there to be honest.
Re: World Championship Betting thread
Well yes, Smith has been crap recently but so has Evans hasnt he? Lewis/McGowan is a 50-50 game for me, as is the first one.BOOM wrote:I don't like anything there to be honest.

Agreed so the value is with Caven and Mcgowan in these games. If you factor in Caven's TV issues that game becomes a minefield.Ginge wrote:Well yes, Smith has been crap recently but so has Evans hasnt he? Re: World Championship Betting thread
The acca I did for the first round is:
Price
Petersen
VDV
Huybrechts
And one more, can't remember off hand - think it might be King

Re: World Championship Betting thread
Just had an email through from Skybet - for those wanting to bet on MvG there are odds of 5/1 available
...as long as you think the losing finalist is Anderson.

You're massively misunderstanding the term 'value'.Skewball wrote: I'm looking at a straight accumulator for tonight and looking at Anderson, Smith and Caven being the value (Painter not on form). But what do people think about Lewis vs McGowan....??

Not great odds by any stretch but hopefully enough to get my a big lumper on an MVG/Durrant double.

Quite like the look of this. Bit wary about Anderson as frost has been playing superbly on the floor. But still looks a decent betdanny chizz corf wrote:Painter to win.

Re: World Championship Betting thread
Darren Webster is over priced on recent form against Bunting as is Wilson against Huybrechts.

Probably the dodgiest selection, can't have Anderson at 1/20 though.Rout wrote:Quite like the look of this. Bit wary about Anderson as frost has been playing superbly on the floor. But still looks a decent betdanny chizz corf wrote:Painter to win.

Re: World Championship Betting thread
Every match to go at least 4 sets except the Ando one (winning in 3) is 2.6/1 if anyone likes the look of that (Skybet)
