The Circus Thread.
The Circus Thread.
Here I will be logging the many many incidents and occuraces that pop up over the next month at Ally pally that portray this comp as the thread title suggests.
Item one on the list is Mark Frost popping in a 74 whilst tanked up and his embarrassing behaviour during the match.
Item two.... Unicorn doing what they do best!!

Did it stay like that for the whole game or was it changed at the break at the end of the first set?
EDIT - had a look myself and yes it was changed.

Who had seven replaced by 17 in the Unicorn sponsored Board Numbering Error sweepstake?
Re: The Circus Thread.
Serious question - when this board is shipped, do the numbers come already assembled in the right order or do you have to assemble it yourself? Sure I remember someone on here saying the numbers were individually removable.

Re: The Circus Thread.
They must be removable so when you turn the board you move the numbers.

Yes every number can be individually removed so it's more than likely someone messing around than a unicorn era but let them think what they want if they think that this makes to PDC a circusGinge wrote:Serious question - when this board is shipped, do the numbers come already assembled in the right order or do you have to assemble it yourself? Lets be honest.samrev180 wrote:Yes every number can be individually removed so it's more than likely someone messing around than a unicorn era but let them think what they want if they think that this makes to PDC a circusGinge wrote:Serious question - when this board is shipped, do the numbers come already assembled in the right order or do you have to assemble it yourself? The PDC clearly have developed a sense of humour as of late.

Yes the numbers are in the correct place when you take the board out of the box so no self assembly required.Ginge wrote:Serious question - when this board is shipped, do the numbers come already assembled in the right order or do you have to assemble it yourself? The numbers themselves are removable - you can buy a set of spares and replace the indvidual component in the event of any breakages (eg if a stray dart hits say the 1 in 17 and smashes it).
When it comes to turning the board you just do the same as any other board and take the whole number ring off and replace it in the new position - so you shouldn't need to take any individual numbers off in this process.

Is this 100% GENUINE? The players would have noticed this for sure.....

Re: The Circus Thread.
Yes its genuine. Looks like it was changed at the first break so someone spotted it.Paddy McGinty wrote:Is this 100% GENUINE? The players would have noticed this for sure.....

Re: The Circus Thread.
So if someone went for a 7 was it taken literally as a 17....or did common sense prevail?Ginge wrote:Yes its genuine. Looks like it was changed at the first break so someone spotted it.Paddy McGinty wrote:Is this 100% GENUINE? The players would have noticed this for sure.....

That good old saying... Re: The Circus Thread.
The only time either player scored 7 or 17 was when Smith hit 7 towards the back end of the 3rd leg (set lasted 4 legs) and was credited with a 7 , I assume that is when it was spotted. They didnt change it until the break though.Paddy McGinty wrote:So if someone went for a 7 was it taken literally as a 17....or did common sense prevail?Ginge wrote:Yes its genuine.
