Is it because they still see that there is a market out there that's not PDC and PDC costs to enter etc. Because Spain seems to have well attended events in soft tip and maybe a lot of them play steel. Would be nice to see a Spanish player get to Lakeside like Reyes has in the PDC but I think that most look the way of the PDC now with the qualifiers that they also have.
2 events in Spain within 10 days at the start of a September,Will be interesting who goes to these.

Re: BDO Ranked Tournament Prize Money 2017 - Men
I think that maybe darts is growing in Spain, and at the moment, with at least 5 ranking events in Spain for Lakeside, plus Gibraltar Open, there has to be as much interest in WDF/BDO as PDC. Love to know who has set up this Cat A+ event, be interesting to see how many enter. And yes, a Spanish qualifier at Lakeside would be good, the opportunities are there now.Bag Carrier wrote:Addicks Fan wrote:Updated for new event in Spain and big increase for Malta Open. I can see one going in Hungary direction. Or expansion of the Russian tour in that direction. The PDC seem to be able to sell tv rights and gain interest. However if all these countries keep upping prize funds across Europe will the PDC see it as a threat?Addicks Fan wrote: Something we will never know! Could be an extra £50k in the Western Europe region this year, with 4 more new tournaments yet to announce their prize money. May not sound like a lot, but as a percentage increase it is significant. The Jolly Man wrote:I can see one going in Hungary direction. Or expansion of the Russian tour in that direction. Luxembourg Open £4,050
Italian Grand Masters £4,160
Malta Open £1,780 £7,190 £5,410
Is it because they still see that there is a market out there that's not PDC and PDC costs to enter etc. Because Spain seems to have well attended events in soft tip and maybe a lot of them play steel. Would be nice to see a Spanish player get to Lakeside like Reyes has in the PDC but I think that most look the way of the PDC now with the qualifiers that they also have.
2 events in Spain within 10 days at the start of a September,Will be interesting who goes to these.

Those who don't need points might have a nice holiday in Spain , those who do will go to first Spanish event then probably Selsey as points of a higher Cat , and September Selsey bit easier than the June one .Bag Carrier wrote:Addicks Fan wrote:Updated for new event in Spain and big increase for Malta Open. It does seem that Europe is where the biggest investment in WDF/BDO tournaments is at the moment - new Belgian events and another event in Catalonia to add in as well. Why is this?
