Darts Trivia thread

Just watching Friday's The Chase on Sky +, and one of the questions was:

World darts Champion Bob Anderson was picked for the 1968 British Olympic team in what event?

A- Discus
B- Shot put
C- Javelin

Correct answer was Javelin. Never knew this, and as didn't know which thread to post in, thought I would start a new one.

Any other darts related trivia, which may surprise the forum members.

Something I posted during Lakeside; Daryl Fitton's first TV appearance was in the PDC. A first round 3-0 defeat in the World Matchplay to Peter Manley. Came as a surprise to me, anyway.

Rod harrington played for Southend united. & I cleaned his boots as a 16 year old trainee
