You have to be some kind of sad act to watch nearly 8 hours of darts a day for 9 days just to post about how crap it is. Mad Socks.

Lisa Ashton is a class player I know it’s been said before but she would be competitive in the men’s BDO tour.
Noppert probably has the best chances in the bottom half, if he brings his Zuiderduin form that is.

Brilliant first session, full house, knowledgeable and respectful crowd, excellent production and top class darts to boot, can it get any better?

Re the atmosphere at lakeside. To those who go or have been: how does it come over to you on the TV?

Folks say (and I believe them) that the atmosphere is great when you are there. But on TV it comes over a little flat imo.

when the ladies game was on there wasn't silence but rather a background of folk just chatting.

great atmosphere know what you mean re the ladies game thou, think after a pdc event where boozy chanting & wolf whistles at walk on girls are the usual thing for folk to expect therefore it comes across as flat on tv id say there a respectable buzz around the place the players are aware of a constant mumble but not one person delibrately shouting loader to make themselves herd in a pdc style which is what frequently happens, so far enjoyable

McGeeney beat Adams in a tie break.
The other games were all whitewashes.
No one averaged over 90.
