In that case they may as well televise our pub opens...TV sport is supposed to be watching people at the top of a sport doing things the viewers can only dream of emulating...a few still manage that at Lakeside.....but a lot of matches are dire for its supposed level

It pains me to say but I fear I'm watching a tournament on its last legs..

That’s mostly true except darts is the one sport literally anyone can play at no real expense and very easily play even at home! Plus it’s the one game where someone like Rob Cross can be a nobody to the tv audience a year ago then go and become world champion, it’s just all very normal compared to say premier league football!

The only world class match so far was on after 11pm.

On a pay TV channel.

Great effort by all.

Although my point is that you have a TV deal running out, a Free TV shop window to put your best wares on display, and they whack on a load of women and Prelim games.

All compounded by the only top class match so far being on past 11pm on the pay half of the "deal".

The big segment missed with 3 consecutive darts. That's impressive

I'd love to know the standard of the players Uygunsozlu actually beat to qualify for this.

The Lakeside coverage just doesn't feel the same this year without regular close ups of Doggy Dawson and his dad on the lash

Good to see Fallon won, didn't expect that with the way Hammond has been playing lately.

Probably the same players that Ratajski beat to qualify for virtually every European Tour event last season.
