Understand the logistics, point is even when they did play-off for a standby player it shouldn't have happened as they could just have invited the next player from
the main table not already qualified

The rules quoted above state that if the Masters winner is already qualified then the place would be offered to the next in line until 22 additional players have been invited from the main table - Robbo would have been the 23rd. This could explain why Ratajski is down as Masters winner and the Eastern European spot was given to the second placed man.
Robbo would have actually been the 21st, he is 26th in the main list with FIVE exempt players in front of him (Durrant, Fitton, Hughes, Waites, Mitchell).
As for being ineligible if he played the qualifiers and lost - well in the days when the qualifier was held before the end of the season you had player who qualified through the table still playing in the qualifier, losing, and getting in. So it wont be for that reason.
Sam Hewson played in the qualifier and lost the year he got a late call up the other year.
Talking of Sam Hewson, what's happened to him? Is he still playing as looked a good prospect? Thought he was being sponsored??
If you mean the Lincolnshire/Jacklin sponsorship then I think that only applies to BDO events - both Hewson's have been playing the Development Tour this year, and Rob has also played on the Challenge Tour

Thanks, did wonder why hadn't seen Sam's name about. Didn't know he had an (older?) brother who played also!

Eh? He hasn't played in two.
Qualified for Lakeside
Attempted to qualify for Ally Pally.
Nothing wrong with doing that but he can only play in one.
Be interesting if BDO decided you have qualified for Lakeside, by playing in euro 12 you are attempting to get into Ally Pally! We will withdraw your Lakeside invite !

He's already tried by playing the qualifier. The BDO are in no position to play hard ball anymore, most of the field now wanna play PDC at some point

Just take it on the chin and close the loophole next year, or open it up to everyone.
