I just hope there's some decent matches when I'm there.

Re: 2018 BDO World Championship- Lakeside- 6th-14th January
Well the Lakeside year is over. Tables have been updated on the BDO website.
Players in BLUE enter as seeded players in the Last 32. Reynolds and Veenstra have been seperated on WDF ranking
Players in GREEN enter as non seeded players in the Last 32.
Players in RED enter in the Prelim round. Noppert gets in on an exemption, it looks like Richie Edwards is going to miss out on Lakeside based on WDF ranking countback.
In the unlikely event the winner of the Masters is not one of the qualified players, Daniel Day would miss out.
1 Durrant 369
2 McGeeney 360
3 Hughes 344
4 Mitchell 340
5 Montgomery 306
6 De Vos 269
7 Harms 264
8 Menzies 263
9 Williams 257

11 Veenstra 249
12 Reynolds 249
13 Baetens 248

27= Noppert 191
-------------------------------------------------
27= Edwards 191

Of the players underneath the cutoff line, Ratajski would get in via another table should he choose to play in Lakeside. Jeff Smith will have to play the qualifiers for the first time in three (?) years as Cameron won the Canadian table ages ago.
Brian Dawson gets in as highest in the British table not otherwise qualified - Paul Hogan missing out by 2 points.

Re: 2018 BDO World Championship- Lakeside- 6th-14th January
Dawson ahead of Hogan? I'm guessing Hogan didn't nearly play enough events to get in?
Re: 2018 BDO World Championship- Lakeside- 6th-14th January
Just the British table, remember.26scored wrote:Dawson ahead of Hogan? I'm guessing Hogan didn't nearly play enough events to get in?
Dawson was 15th in this table with 157 points but all names above him qualified through the main table.
Hogan was 16th with 156 points.
Dawson scored in 9 Open events and also had 5 county wins.
Hogan only scored in 4 Open events and had 7 county wins. He also only filled in 11 of his 12 boxes so ANY score in that vacant 12th box, even a lowly 3 point score (the lowest available) and he would have qualified.
Dawson getting to the Last 64 yesterday got him 7 points, this got him into Lakeside by the looks as he was able to discard a 4 pointer from the Wolverhampton event. Small margins....

Interestingly Robson is in the draw for the Lakeside Play offs which is tomorrow. But Day isnt and Edwards is

Oh ffs.
Has someone fucked up again? Quite obviously Sunday had to be the cutoff for Lakeside, even though they dont expressly say so on here
http://www.bdodarts.com/diary-2017.php
(they do for the Winmau and WDT, though)

But not a shock.

The only explanation can be that the ranking lists they only updated on Monday morning are totally wrong.

Re: 2018 BDO World Championship- Lakeside- 6th-14th January
9 regional winners, 4 qualifiers, Masters winner and Noppert (exemption) all qualify. That leaves top 25 from main table. Robson is 26th and will get in provided Clemens doesn't win Masters. Day doesnt qualify from main table but is in through British table ahead of Dawson who has to get in through the qualifiers.
Re: 2018 BDO World Championship- Lakeside- 6th-14th January
Absolutely no reason for Robson to be in the qualifiers, he's 6 points ahead of the cutoff and no more points can be gained or lost now.

Oh for God's sake. So it wasn't top 27 plus Noppert.csb wrote:9 regional winners, 4 qualifiers, Masters winner and Noppert (exemption) all qualify. That leaves top 25 from main table.
