Could that potentially put off some people from attending?
yes, our national ranked player (switzerland) can not attend because most of them are playing in Japan

some player doesnt get almost three weeks holiday on the trot or havent enough money because we pay ourself the journey

and for me personally its one part the money and the other part the time at home between the journeys...back from england on friday then on sunday travel around 17 hours to japan :banghead:

very clever the dates..im sure there are other countrys with the same problems...

Interesting insight, cheers. The BDO won't care one bit though about a few foreign players missing.

The bdo have always believed they don't have to take anything other than their own interests into consideration

its not an individual player diary thing...

This year is the 44th staging of the oldest major darts tournament on the planet, and we’ve no doubt it will provide some scintillating darts from the best in the BDO, WDFand WDDA/BDDA system.

Anyone seen a qualification list for the World Masters? Less than 10 weeks to go to the cutoff date, normally the BDO has posted a preliminary list of the qualified players by now.

On another note, the other day I noticed that the BDO has moved the Masters on top of the Lakeside qualifying event for the Asian region in Malaysia, so a whole bunch of Asian players will have to choose between the two...

And in time honoured tradition, you cant actually buy tickets for anything beyond the Sunday yet.

Nor is anything on the BDO website...

Oh and before Chris asks his predictable question, no there are no dots to count so I will have to lay my 4 staff off.

Maybe they won't bother after the fiasco with them failing to show the final of the WDT.
