I'm glad that the 1,700 viewers of the Youtube stream will be guaranteed to see the big names in the last 32.
Re: Winmau World Masters
The big names don't sell tickets or draw a TV audience, so why protect them?

Re: Winmau World Masters
Why does the first line of that say the Masters is on until the Thursday when it actually ends on the Wednesday?

Re: Winmau World Masters
Although the credibility of this tournament has been somewhat devalued since the days of Bob Anderson winning it 3 years on the trot. You can never detract from the history of this event.and it is one which should still be on TV and considered a Major.

Re: Winmau World Masters
Im guessing putting the stage games inbetween the the 2 days of floor tournaments is so they hope the place is packed out with people? makes zero sense otherwise.
Surely Sportotal must be doing something about this, Tony did say he had spoken to them at the agm and they had good news.

They would have to do the Lakeside qualifiers last anyway or it would just be ridiculous.Zapp Brannigan wrote:Im guessing putting the stage games inbetween the the 2 days of floor tournaments is so they hope the place is packed out with people? makes zero sense otherwise.

Remember a few years back where they had the Lakeside qualifiers before the end of the qualification year and you had people entering just to hedge their bets in case they didn't get in through the main table?
