A tournament that pays out less money than a PC Event is no longer a major.

Surely Sportotal must be doing something about this, Tony did say he had spoken to them at the agm and they had good news.
They would have to do the Lakeside qualifiers last anyway or it would just be ridiculous.

Remember a few years back where they had the Lakeside qualifiers before the end of the qualification year and you had people entering just to hedge their bets in case they didn't get in through the main table?
Yeah but isnt it usually

Masters Day 1
Lakeside Playoffs
Masters Day 2
Masters Day 3

As once we are at the stage part the qualifiers are known?

At least it was when I used to go watch it in Hull

And some players offering other players to throw the deciding game (when they have already qualified) in exchange for a portion of the other guys first round winnings.

Ah yes forgot about that. At least by doing it last this time around it will avoid all of those shenanigans.

This is not about the PDC.

Remember the new Freeview sports channel owned by the guys behind Premier Sports is supposed to launch end August. So before the Masters.

No news yet on what it will be covering. May be a reason for this being midweek as that tends to be when there is least competing live sport.

Their promises with zero advertising seems interesting. Apparently going be showing football on freeview every night of the week

This has been listed as being on midweek since what, February? Long long before this new station was known about. It's in midweek out of desperation and TV can follow later, if at all.

Just like you were going to be one of the 7 paying customers at the WDT, but forgot to go?

You also posted that the Masters was at Lakeside, not that it matters as you won't be going.

Precisely, what has prize money got to do with it.

The relegation to midweek is the bigger disgrace, anyway.

The World masters is the darts equivalent of footballs Johnstones Paint Trophy. It's wank.

All this talk of majors in darts is daft anyway, leave majors for golf. Darts has "Premier" competitions and the Winmau Johnstones Paint Trophy is not one of them either.

Is it a bigger disgrace than Des Selecta getting a seat in the board given his past history? Is it a bigger disgrace than Houseboy stabbing his mate Tommy in the back by sucking Des Selectas arse?
