Winmau World Masters

Post by Bag Carrier »

Great news that the BDO have secured "The Spa" in Bridlington for the WInmau once again.

The Winmau is to start on Monday 25th straight after the British Open and British Classic.

The Lakeside playoffs will be on Thursday I have been told.

These details are from the Spa direct as I was contacted by the B&B I have booked for the weekend.

How odd. So it's not being played on the weekend then?

So the final of the oldest major relegated to midweek. At least it's not at Lakeside...

Well it wouldn't be only evening, you need to start much earlier than 6pm to get everything in over 3 days. Hence why playing this event over 3 weekdays is a bit of a downgrade. Although probably a necessary one to secure it happening this year away from Lakeside.

That does indeed make sense. How many can the venue hold?

SPA confirmed it to me after the B&B phoned me to ask if I wanted to book the extra nights for the Winmau, I called the SPA to make sure it was 100% legit.

Have been told by someone, They called the SPA and they are not saying anything now. Wonder if they have had another call of someone connected to the Darts :WWWW:

Announcement will be soon I think.
