The World Cup is a decent opportunity for Barneveld, the Dutch getting into the final is likely.
Taylor also not qualified, and he has a much tougher task, can't really see him getting into the Matchplay or WGP final.

The rules says : ''2016/17 PDC World Champion'' and 2016/2017 ''PDC World Champion runner-up''

Isn't that the World Champion and runner-up from 2016 and 2017? The PDC never say MVG is World Champion 2016/2017 for example.
Which means Anderson is nr.2 in the current list and Lewis nr.6.

Erwin, I presume you are Dutch and if I am incorrect, I apologise.

ACF is it not the Pro Tour Order of Merit that is used to rank Players Championship winners? This is how it was done last year anyway, hence why Stephen Bunting missed out and not Gerwyn Price.

Unless they've changed the rule from last year Rob Cross is still in a qualifying position and Adrian Lewis would miss out as it stands.

It should be 4 or less BDO-players. Can't see why make it a ranking tournament when BDO players are in it as well.
