Those three yes Belgium and Australia both made the finals before and both good enough to win it.

In fact drop the silly world cup thingy and just make it an open pairs event, at least it'll be a bit more competitive.

Yes I would prefer that, as it stands 90% of the teams have no chance at all so the comp only gets exciting at the final stages, well if a couple of Thais getting a new hole torn is your thing then fair enough I suppose, but this is not what I enjoy (well not in the context of darts). Because they are so limited finding good competitive players from around the world then I think using the word "World" in the title is a little presumptuous.

I agree about a pairs comp being better than this. Blind pairs. Top 32 in one pot. Another 32 tch's in another. Snooker shootout style in format. Best of 3 or 5. Get it played over a couple of days/sessions. Would be very entertaining.
