Not sure where the £30,000 figure came from. Much smaller nations are attending and did not spend anywhere near that sum. Do EDO expect to travel by private jet or something?

Trinidad and Tobago can send a team yet the GB teams cannot.

Utterly, utterly embarrassing.

Methinks the Scots, Welsh and English were hoping there would be a lot more countries not bothering to go, from a quick look at the list all of the other "top nations" are there and plenty of teams from Europe.

Unfortunately in Gibraltar there are insufficient woman players with the skills / inclination to attend major internationl events. There are only a few playing regularly. GDA is keen to increase women's participation in the sport.

At least GIbraltar are bothering to send someone and not moaning about the cost, think that was the point being made.

How are Gibraltar paying for it all, maybe you should pass your secrets onto Tommy Thompson :D

Ok, so by the same logic then, Iran is sending a Youth team only.

Pretty narrow minded to be surprised that other countries are going to this even though England aren't. It's a world cup.

How can this be ?

We were told by players and fans that international darts was the pinnacle of ones career ?
Surely the EDO responsible for England Darts, the very purpose of why it exists would surely send a team to the most prestigious event in International darts on that side of the divide.

Besides they had 4 years to get ready for this, no way things could be so badly mismanaged the could miss this event.

oh wait......
i am so sorry for my actions these last ten years, i'm going through a tough time

Well yes but it makes it look even worse for the missing nations when you have the likes of Egypt pitching up, a country who have, as far as I can see, havent attended any of the last 5 World Cups and probably none before that.

Fair play to them, mind.
