2017 Averages - PDC, BDO and Both
Similar to last year, the list contains the top 64 players averaging over 85 who have played at least 20 legs with averages available - these are posted by PDC on twitter, Live darts data, Darts for Windows, The Red Bit (for PCs) and failing that, myself from streams. Not completely comprehensive by any means, but captures most of what's readily available. Match averages weighted by number of legs.
Only ranking events, UK Open, Grand Slam and county included for BDO averages, PDC players limited to PDC events, excluding Premier League. BDO players in red, those who have averages available from both sides in blue:

The OP says: "those who have averages available from both sides in blue". So it shouldn't matter how he qualified.oche balboa wrote:No. He qualified for the UK Open as an "amateur"Chambord wrote:Paul Hogan shouldn't be in blue ?

Averages mean nothing. Waites showed BDO players were as good as top Pdc players in Grand Slam the other year. Nothing between top players other than Taylor and Van Gerwen

Re: RE: Re: 2017 Averages - PDC, BDO and Both
Nope. I think you used them to prove the difference in averages could be explained by equipment. The notion that for 10 years there has been a general acceptance that the standard in the PDC is better than the BDO is laughable. You have denied stating Tayor was the only difference between the codes but I have certainly seen you arguing similar.Rout wrote:You think I used digital callipers to prove the bdo has a higher standard than the pdc?Murphio wrote:Says Digital Caliper man.Rout wrote:Ive been on darts forums for ten years, and this still hasn't sunk in with them yet.Basgooner wrote:Well done for stating the obvious post of the yearGRAYISALEGEND wrote:That proves PDC is better standard than BDO

Re: 2017 Averages - PDC, BDO and Both
What part of that post was basgooner trying to argue that the pdc is not generally of a higher standard than the bdo?
Looks to me to be a post that states averages can be misleading whilst acknowledging the very best players reside in the pdc.
All you've done is prove the point about fanboys arguing with themselves on the matter.
