£1500 for coverage for both days hey, makes some of the estimates that were being bandied around for the cost of broadcasting for the WDT look rather stupid.

Re: Begging bowl out for TV coverage of 6 Nations
think it says they are £1500 short (they already have some money in the pot) rather than needing that amount. will re read.nikkiboy wrote:£1500 for coverage for both days hey, makes some of the estimates that were being bandied around for the cost of broadcasting for the WDT look rather stupid.

this amount needed to get over the line. so doesn't help us know how much it costs all together.

Asking a tenner to get your name on telly is an incentive which could actually work with some. Though I find it hard to believe they'll get near the target, as didn't they put this on as a PPV stream last year?
Re: RE: Re: Begging bowl out for TV coverage of 6 Nations
Erm it clearly says it's the last bit of the funding that is required ("an extra sum") rather than the whole lot.nikkiboy wrote:£1500 for coverage for both days hey, makes some of the estimates that were being bandied around for the cost of broadcasting for the WDT look rather stupid.

Maybe the cost of upgrading from stream to Frontrunner .Ginge wrote:Erm it clearly says it's the last bit of the funding that is required ("an extra sum") rather than the whole lot.nikkiboy wrote:£1500 for coverage for both days hey, makes some of the estimates that were being bandied around for the cost of broadcasting for the WDT look rather stupid.

In any case they won't be raising the money, at least not through the medium of Just Giving. How did all the other campaigns get on, hmm?

Nothing wrong with amateur darts trying to raise funds.
It's a ridiculous cause though. I can think of so many things that money would be better spent on....

No, reeks of desperation also for an event that hardly anyone will give a shite about.devosteve wrote:yes. seen it on fb. Guess you are not thinking it is a good move?Ecky Thump wrote:Is this for fekkin real?

It'd be worth a tenner to donate on behalf of gary glitter, rolf harris and Jimmy Savile just to see the names come up at the end.
Seeing as the coverage is £1500 an hour according to some why don't they just not show one hour of it, job done.

Who has claimed it is £1500 an hour?nikkiboy wrote:It'd be worth a tenner to donate on behalf of gary glitter, rolf harris and Jimmy Savile just to see the names come up at the end.

Adrian Battersby made it quite clear it's an extra amount just 'to get it over the line'
