No because Clayton and Vinny would just swap lists, wouldn't they?

Top 12 seeds set. Still can and will be some movement. Vincent van der Voort would drop out of the seeds if Clayton beats Cross.

Courtesy of Burton.
Doesn't really answer Foggs question does it :D

Is my reply accurate?

Yes.

Vincent has 35k on the Pro Tour order of merit, and him and Clayton would simply swap qualifying criteria.

Would Clayton even want a guaranteed match against MVG in round 2?

That's the $64,000 dollar question. Would Clayton prefer missing MVG in the last 32, or a guarantee against drawing a seed in the the last 64.

Remember Gary not entering the final qualification event to avoid being the 32nd seed and missing Taylor in 2010, but ended up getting beat by Ronnie Baxter 4-0 in the last 32 anyway.

Don't think he will be 32nd though would he? Just added 17k to that total so wil be ahead of Wilson as well

The draw for this is being done tomorrow. That is - less than 24 hours after the full line-up and seedings list are finalised. But of course this is no different to the BDO still not doing their draw even though they knew their full line-up and seeds weeks ago. No siree - another one for the 'list'.

No excuse. They could have done it months ago; qualifier a v seed 26 etc etc.

Sky are waiting for Barry Hearn's draw strategy first.

There isn't really. PDC should do the draw for all events next year so the players can pick and choose when to bother turning up

THE draw for the preliminary round of the 2017/2018 William Hill World Darts Championship has been made.

The world's biggest tournament will be held at Alexandra Palace in London from December 14-January 1, where 72 players will compete to win the prestigious Sid Waddell Trophy and £1.8 million in prize money.

The field of players includes international qualifiers from across the globe, with the final three spots to be finalised at Monday's PDPA Qualifier in Milton Keynes.

The PDPA Qualifier winner goes straight into the first round draw, with the runner-up and third-placed player starting the event in the preliminary round.

The PDPA Qualifier runner-up will take on Croatian debutant Alan Ljubic at Alexandra Palace, with the third-placed player set to meet Belgian youngster Kenny Neyens.

Veteran star Paul Lim drew Hong Kong's Kai Fan Leung, while Russian left-hander Aleksandr Oreshkin meets German qualifier Kevin Munch.

Canada's Jeff Smith takes on PDC Unicorn Development Tour winner Luke Humphries, with Chinese youngster Xiao Chen Zong up against New Zealand's Bernie Smith and DPA Australian ProTour winner Gordon Mathers drawing Japanese qualifier Seigo Asada.

Willard Bruguier, who won the North American Championship in July, meets New Zealand's Cody Harris in the other preliminary round tie.

The first round draw for the William Hill World Darts Championship will be made at 6.30pm on Monday evening, live on Sky Sports News in the UK.

Why has not been done in the open, you can't slag off the bdo for transparency when the PDC have done part of the draw in private. Where are the fixed allegations now?
