Hark at Bradley Hardacre there, even darts playing need a day off from drinking too much to go home to family and drink too much :)

Better if they had a session this afternoon instead of last Friday afternoon.

No horse racing today, no British football today, asking for darts today is ridiculous.

Boxing day maybe, 11 horse meets on Tuesday and a full footy programme so why not.

I think there's also the point about the people who work on broadcasting and the venue etc. who even if the event finished at 4pm would have to stay in a hotel because they wouldn't get home. This way everyone has whole day to get home.

You can't put darts on when the footy is on.

well said, these people are very much overlooked by the players & supporters yes they are well remunerated & are probably in digs like john & normas b&b at muswell hill & the like, while the top dogs will be in a proper hotel, however without them theres no show as they say, usually at the end will get a credit on the last night closing titles but thats becoming rarer now

The Arsenal vs. Liverpool game was supposed to be today until people kicked off about it being on Christmas Eve. Not sure how easier it would have been to get back to Merseyside late on a Friday night...

Used to be football and rugby on Christmas Eve, Day and Boxing Day in the olden days. Still goes on in the States as well.

It's a jokey post aimed at a poster who would always complain about darts being on a Saturday afternoon, when footie was on. Grey?

I asked my friends in the US about this. The main reason they can have games on Christmas Day is because most home fans drive to the stadium so not relying on public transport which in many cases is non existent in the US anyway. The away supporters are also travelling long distances so normally making a weekend of it and staying in a hotel rather than trying to get home after the game.

Very different to the UK where the vast majority of fans rely on public transport to get to sporting events.

Leicester v Saracens rugby was played today and on TV...

I think it's right to take a break for the darts...I think they used to play boxing day though in some years past.

Guessing now Sky have the relevant football package back that covers Boxing Day they don't have to put darts on then either. Will also depend how the days fall I guess.

One problem with roll on is that when I bought my 1st one the directions said, "unscrew cap and and push up bottom".

3 days in hospital! !!!!!
