Im sure the figures from Germany and Holland will make you flip....
864,000 watched it on Netherlands. Apparently down 1.3million from last year.

Very shocking, looks like the Dutch are getting bored with it all...

Rob Cross winning is one of the main stories at the start of the 6pm BBC news.

Seduced by toy boards, Hearn's hype and disrespect for players. Obviously.

Must say it takes some coming down after being spoiled with a couple of weeks of darts on almost daily. Roll on Lakeside and q-school I say!

Great 5 min feature at the end of the 6.00 clock news there on BBC 1.

Hearn on as well saying that title could bring at least £5 million to cross.

What are the viewing figures for this? Great exposure for darts. A positive news item at prime time on the biggest channel there is.

Feature on itv news as well. Showing him in a fork lift truck. Interviewed as well.

Has this happened before (in recent times), featuring on both major news progs? On the next day at 6 and 6.30?

Did Barry Hearn say there was gonna be other tournaments next year in his interview? Heard something of more prize money.

For sure, always feels depressed for a day or 2 once the final is over, though it's never too long to wait before it all kicks back off again with the Masters at the end of January followed by the PL a few days later...MVG v Cross will be immense on opening night and I guess also a good chance they will clash at the masters!

There was always talk that when Taylor used to steamroll opponents the way Cross did to him, the losers average was always inflated as they didn't get too many shots at double, same thing for Taylor yesterday? He was 10/22 on doubles, 31 legs played. One surprising stat is Taylor hit 12 180's, one more than Cross who hit 11, he bought a pretty decent game, just rarely against throw, whilst Cross barely missed a checkout until set 8 when he seemed to a bit jittery near the finish line.

Just how good can Cross be? Will he reach 3 world championship titles before Gerwen/Ando does? it's going to be fascinating to see what happens, will he be able to maintain it?. As it's Amazing from Cross so far considering the in-experience!

I never thought it would quite get this far but were close to having the top 16 in the PDC better than almost anyone in the BDO.

Could make a case for Durrant but we might never know........
