There needs to be a standardisation of rules? That may reduce the quality of play and thus reduce TV viewership?

The PDC shouldn’t be taking any lessons from the WDF at all.

There is already a de facto pathway, but I’d agree it needs to be more defined.

spot on
The same could be said about any sport. The IIHF has absolutely no say about the National Hockey League or any professional hockey league in the world.

The WDF and PDC will eventually come together and I think that's what Hatter has up his sleeve. He doesn't the BDO's permission to do it, especially since Olly isn't around anymore.

After his win today, Rob Cross is now the tentative 26th seed for Ally Pally. King was no. 25 and Bunting was no. 27 in their debut seasons.

Wonder how high a seed Voltage will end up.

The name is great, how does it relate to Cross exactly?

If you mean Voltage, then it's because he is an electrician by trade - I reckon they should have added High in front of it

Asia qualifier is Kai-Fan Leung - he beat Minseok Choi in the final 2-0 in sets - would like to see the last leg again though as he won it on D8 but I'm sure he should have had 24 left!!

Glad someone else noticed that. He was on 81, think he hit single 19 followed by treble ten to leave 32 and hits the single 8.

Seemed to be a few queries around scoring during the match actually.

Makes sense now, naming yourself after the measurement unit for electrical potential difference is inspired.

Just for the sake of balance, this tournament is the last of the PDC's current TV deal (to my knowledge) with Sky Sports.

Any news of an extension/improved terms?

No news from me but I reckon the pdc are in a stronger place than last time terms sorted. Do sky want to lose their Christmas coverage? No way.

Due to Chisnall's win yesterday, MVG vs Taylor is a potential quarter final clash. Data courtesy of Burton DeWitt.

Watched the recording, the caller corrected the score of the previous turn from 57 to 65 - I honestly can't tell from the video if the third dart with 32 remaining hit S8 or D8.

On the Professional Darts Asia page - it's near the end of the following video, the last leg starts around 2 hours 25 minutes in

We were watching the three videos on Thursday at superleague, none of us could understand how they thought they could get away with it, it really is astonishing.
