Chizzys poor year continues.

Chisnall's scoring was horrendous this match, just couldn't keep up. Nice to see Vincent finding some form again.

Chizzy and Wade losing their premier league places tonight.

Wade going out earlier has really opened Taylors quarter up which is not good, he might not have to get out of 3rd gear until Gando in the quarters and then we all know what hes like over a long set.

Ian White hardly ever seems to lose a match you'd expect him to win and hardly ever seems to win a match you'd expect him to lose

So is Wade now out of top 16 ? Definitely no PL but that would cost him Masters place as well in January.

Delighted he won't be in the PL next year.
Far more deserving and exciting players.

Not sure which loss was worse from Chizzy's pov. The one against Hendo or this one. He will be back to his best in the Masters, hopefully.

For me, this has been a very strange year in terms of the OOM. Amazing season for Gurney, Suljovic and Cross. On the opposite side Wade, Lewis and Bunting have been horrific, and Chisnall has had an awful end of season.

Chizzy and Wade will both be in the top 16 after this so will be fine for the masters

i think they've both ruled themselves out of the Premier League though.

Lewis is currently provisionally out of the top 16 but I feel will get a run here and get a PL spot,,,I think Sky will really want him in alongside Barney...

In 2006, the first championships where the current format was used, 13 seeds lost in the 1st round. I think that’s the record.

Why not make the wildcards really wild and give Premier League spots to the likes of Beaton and Van see Voort? Mix it up a bit. They have given a lot to the game; Vincent in particular would be a very popular choice imo.

No, as it stands he's still number 9 in the World on the cleaned after-WC-ranking (and with Taylor removed).
