Jeffrey de Zwaan rockets up to #67 in the world with his first PDC title. Jonny Clayton has jumped Steve Beaton to reach a new career high ranking of #23. Benito van de Pas will drop out of the top 16 next week if he does not qualify to ET5.

Saw this posted by Burton on Twitter and thought it might be of interest to some.

Darren Webster is the 48th person to reach the top 16 of the PDC Order of Merit, which means exactly two-thirds of those 48 players are no longer in the top 16. A further 15—just less than a third—no longer hold a Tour Card.

As things stand on the provisional rankings, Joe Cullen would become the 49th top-16 player this September, with Jonny Clayton following suit as the 50th ahead of Ally Pally. Obviously, a lot can change by then, but good chance we'll hit 50 this year.

On would think that it does not speak for an overwhelming overall standard when Darren Webster makes the top 16 - but then he has been pretty consistent on a god level for quite a while while somoe of the big names played (by their standards) utter shit for 12+ months.

I would love to see the top16 or top32 players "yearly average" compared over the years, does anyone have such stats?

Michael Smith leads the way, having cashed in 21 of 25 ranking events so far this year. Gabriel Clemens leads the two-year Tour Card holders, having cashed in 16 events, one more than Danny Noppert, Jeffrey de Zwaan, and Nathan Aspinall.

Was looking at what Caven has to defend in OOM money from 2016, and it’s a lot. Must be at significant risk of ending season out of top 64 and losing his tour card.

Matchplay 2016 £6k
Grand Prix 2016 £5k
European Championship Finals £5k
PC Finals £2k
World Championship £10k

Is he on track to qualify for any of these this year ? I guess easiest would be PC Finals given that’s top 64 from one year pro tour OOM aaauming he starts to go deep in some PCs very soon.

At the moment he is just outside the qualification spots. Nothing a few wins won't fix though.

Okay so if he retains the form of 1st half season for 2nd half he gets to PC Finals but would be struggling for the World Championship and that’s where the big money is.

BTW I see a moderator has sneakily edited my post. Obviously we are censored in being allowed to refer to him using his well known nickname on these forums.

Somewhat confused by your post. What well known nickname on these forumsare you referring to, as Jamie has always been known as Jabba on this site.

I for one have zero sympathy for Caven who tried belittle people when he boasted of his so called earnings and issued a challenge all because of some Facts I posted about his losing streak.

Issuing a challenge and spouting about his poor income did not negate the reality of what was initially posted as posting stats does not break any rule.
Its clear his bad run has continued, or will he get upset by these facts as well
i am so sorry for my actions these last ten years, i'm going through a tough time

I think Caven is a decent lad - you’re just looking for an issue that isn’t really there.

So he didn't come on here and give it the "I am richer then you" routine, then?

I suggest you catch up.

He did come across badly. I can certainly understand him getting wound up by Garry but it was a low ball response.

Yes, he did.

But when provoked we have all said things we may later live to regret.

I stand by the fact that he is a decent bloke.
