When your top 8-10 your always “defending loads” it’s the reason why your top 8-10 every year Is pressure to stay there . DG defending 310 already 50 in the bag if he hits 200 a year it keeps us up there and he’s done nothing at the worlds for two years so a chance to make some wedge there come 2020
Nope Gurney and Wright both had very good years two years ago and hence are defending loads. Gando is top 8 but defending very little this year as he had a fantastic last year. Price is defending little compared to his last year earnings.

Though I agree the worlds are a chance for Gurney to make up some of that money if he doesn’t go out early again.
2017 310
2018 240

I’d consider them to both be “loads” but hey ho like I say it’s hard to get up there but it’s even harder to stay there he’s been 5 for 18 months that’s a hell of an achievement

Strictly, it's easier to stay there, because seeding in the more lucrative tournaments means that you don't play the better players until later rounds.

But, but, but Sexy Steve won a Lakeside World Pro. Sure he must have been above 18th in the PDC in the last 20 years?
