Press release on FrontRunner coming off Freeview just before the darts this weekend. They claim so they can focus on other options.

The EDO really need to stop wasting the cash and just use YouTube streaming.

Got to say that if it's not on a free to view channel what's the point. BBC and Channel 4 and Dave all on Freeview. Perhaps events on Frontrunner need lookin at because not many will get to see it now unless they have a sky box which is not that many according to what we read
Sadly this is likely to fall on deaf ears, they will continue to pay money to put it on a Sky-only channel just so they can say it was on TV, the economics and the common sense of the situation are seemingly irrelevant to the EDO and its "sponsors".

If the sponsors pay for it who cares?

One hopes the sponsors are doing their own due diligence about the channel it would be going on, and if its actually worth it, rather than TT waxing lyrical to them about how great the channel is.

In any case the appeal of the channel has now gone down more notches.

I'm sure MH can tweet them or Brett can get on the blower to their secretary or you will find a way to stir the shit.

Well if we were going to be super strict and say they had to be a tour card holder to be able to play then 4 countries would be able ( England, Netherlands, Scotland and Wales) Northern Ireland and Belgium would just miss out with 4 tour card holders each though a united Ireland team would be able to compete with a choice from 7 tour card holders.
Not much fun when holding a proper World Cup though is it.
I guess not but being hypothetical again this is what the lineups would be for a PDC 6 nations tournement with a united Ireland and a rest of te world team

England

Lewis
Wade
Chisnall
Taylor
Smith

Netherlands

MvG
Klassen
RvB
BvdP
VvdV

Scotland

Anderson
Wright
Thornton
Henderson
Bain

Wales

Price
Webster
Lewis
Clayton
Owen

Ireland

Gurney
Dolan
McGowan
O'Connor
Lennon

ROW

Suljovic
Kim Huybrechts
Whitlock
Reyes
Anderson
That Dutch team is a non-starter! Come to think of it, the Scotland team might be a bit tricky as well ;-)
because one of them is English?
And doesn't get on with the hypothetical team captain!

Exactly.

Let frontrunner continue to show it.
With proper sky sports channels, eurosports, premier sports and so many other proper sports channels way ahead in terms of quality and content, no one will notice or care about the edo/bdo stuff
i am so sorry for my actions these last ten years, i'm going through a tough time

Anyone who thought he would be above Bunting in the OoM after three years would look ridiculous, surely?

After all it is a darts forum and this was a dart competition...........
Nah, they're more bothered about the crowd.

There used to be a term "All-darters". They are No Darters
Valid point of discussion: how many tickets were sold for this to folks not connected to the players? Only £10 a day.

Surely the answer isn't zero?
