Pretty certain neither of the carriers have gone for this, i think it has Des all over it, probably wrong but i've never heard of this "position".

Incorrect Ian the last person to hold this position was Martin Adams , he found it too hard to play and be a board member .
This position is a full member of the board , it's common knowledge that me and Des don't always get on , but there has been 2 positions on the board vacant since Vic Sexton resigned and Rod Harvey voted off .
Hopefully the Board inform the delegates of the remit of the players Director .
Anyway up at Granite City with another BDO. Director John Smith , like John we can differ with each other but agree to disagree rather than a full scale argument .
Des being vilified already and all he has done is being proposed to go on board , needs 50% of vote to be elected , let's judge him on the job he does if elected not on his reputation .

I think the BDO should have informed counties what positions were available for the Board.

If Des gets it good luck to him.

Personally I don't think he can also do the disciplinary role as well as this one.

There is absolutely no way that Jacklin should be on the Board. As has been said by others, it would just strengthen the position of those already running it into oblivion.

He doesn't have the temperament or the know-how. They'd be better off with Oche. At least he has one foot in reality.
