Yep, just spotted it on the Catalan darts website. Cancelled it in June apparently, due to venue problems. Good to see that the WDF and BDO calendars are on the ball as usual!

Seems a very convenient excuse to cancel it, the truth probably is the event wasn't going to wash it's face in terms of costs.

Also, Salou is 125km away from Barcelona...

I believe because it clashes with the ladies london classic, Turkey, Pdc Spain event(300+ spanish players go to this annually).
They just put it on the wrong date in my opinion. And have to cancel.

The other explanation about this event clashing with all the others seems the more plausible explanation.

Ive just noticed the BDO website actually tells you the reasons it was cancelled. "Nearby terrorism" isnt one of them
