A small caveat to this, he might play for Warwickshire this season (i hope not) which though is the BDO i don't think you can win a world title playing county alone.

Well i said "county alone" but either way i don't think he'd play more than a couple which is why i'd like to think he wouldn't be selected.

Can you not qualify for play in the Lakeside qualifiers by winning or being near the top of the county averages ?

I'd say no, he'll be unable to do the tour over here full time as it's doubtful he'd get a visa due to his armed robbery problem. So he'd have to rely on his Australia place in the World Champs.
