Auntie Sue crying into her cocoa as she watched the BBC today. A thought to conjure with.

Well concentrate on your wedding DJing rather than posting on three darts forums.

If MvG wins +4 vs Taylor - MvG is in the semis!
And in those circumstances would a Barney +4 win vs Lewis also put him in the semis, with Taylor eliminated. ?
If MvG wins +4 then Barney needs a +3 win to qualify, +2 = shootout with Taylor.
Not quite. In the event of a 2 way tie in points and legs difference then it goes down to the winner of the group match between the two to determine the higher placed player.

So if MVG wins +4 and Barney wins +2 then it will be MVG and Taylor that go through - there wouldn't be a shootout between Taylor and Barney.

Just me thinking yesterday was a bit 'low key' - the "Chase the Sun" replacement hardly got the crowd going.

Good crowd, although did they move the stands inwards a bit more than last year and the PL night?

What if it's two x 10-7 results, if favour of MvG and Barney. That puts all 3 players on 4pts and +4 leg difference.

Should be an interesting afternoon, much prefer the group format rather than straight leg play.

Then it would be a 3 way 9 dart shoot out.

There would also be a 3 way 9 dart shoot out for second place if Lewis wins 10-5 and Taylor wins by the same score - Taylor would qualify top with the other 3 involved in a shoot out for second spot.

One thing I'd change for next year (and also for the GSOD) is that each player gets an appearance fee, but additional money for wins. So you don't get £10,000 even if you lose all three matches.

I'd propose a £5,000 appearance fee, plus £5,000 per win. Mensur hasn't got anything to really gain in this match bar finishing top of the group.
