It could simply be that for 13 years his life has been about darts, darts, darts and now he feels he needs a break from it.

As Addicks says, he doesn't need to do the PC events so why should he when he can be spending some quality time at home with his family.

René Eidams is currently at the low point of his career. Yet there are no worries that he won’t go to to reach a personal peak.
“I firmly believe that one day I will get my Tour Card and then make my way to the top”, Eidams told DartsNews in an interview.
