Maybe the hotel is already full with all those new 'executive directors'?

Id say the fact the question has been ignored when asked by people will tell you Eurosport are just going to be taking a feed.

I saw a post by mr defend the indefensible saying that it’s ok because only 6 or so are using bdo money for expenses this year

Well if it's a lot less than it was previously, can't see an issue.

Aye I noticed the very vague time ("around") mentioned on Twitter, surely its not hard to specify an actual time?

Fek off, it took them long enough to specify an actual venue!

Suppose it cant be any worse than last year, when they said it would be at 7pm, and actually appeared two hours beforehand.

They obviously can't do it live and will pre-record it, as we all know from experience these things never go as planned.

They'll never get through it first time of asking without senile Bob having a rummage round Des' velvety ball bag, pulling something out, looking at the number on it, and shouting "seven and twelvety", or something.

Full line-up confirmed:

http://www.bdodarts.com/index.php/item/ ... day-s-draw

Also the revised rules for Lakeside 2019 have been issued - gone is any reference to the PDC or restrictions on playing in both World Championships:

https://www.bdodarts.com/images/bdo-con ... -rules.pdf

Also they have issued the Invitation Tables Criteria for 2019. Apart from no restrictions on PDC players, they have (I think) reduced the restrictions on kids entering senior ranking events. Can't see much else has changed:

No but

6.06
NON-FULFILMENT OF PLAYING COMMITMENTS
a.If a player does not fulfil all playing commitments within the Championship, without reasonable cause, then that player shall forfeit the right to receive any prize money, prizes, or trophies that may be due to that player in respect of the Championship
.
b.If any expenditure is incurred as a result of such a default then the player, or person deemed to be responsible shall be held liable for the additional costs involved.

6.07
EXCLUSIVE PARTICIPATION
a.
All players participating in the Championships must ensure that they do not play in any darts match, competition, or exhibition, without the prior permission of the Sponsor, at any venue within 100 miles radius of the playing venue during the period of the Championship

b.In the instance that Clause No:6/07 [a] has been contravened, then the Sponsor shall reserve the right to withhold prize monies from the offending players

Just as a pure example Ally Pally is 50 miles away.

Also wonder if the invites saying from the 4th is the BDO saying that you are required from the 4th and thus stops people doing the Euro Qschool

They can't force people to hang around a hotel for 3 days until their game.

Also, that distance clause has always been there. Ally Pally won't be on at the same time as Lakeside anyway and even on the years it is, it is the thick end of the tournament and no invited women will be left in it.
