I am not one to boast.

And no it was not a £1 I donated before anyone asks

Just re read the thread. Who is "you lot". That can't mean one person it means more than one. So who are the (at least 2) posters mocking?

We are all wishing him dead, apparently.

Murphio wished death on dolphins the other day and ifm didn't even blink, even though dolphins are purported to be at least as intelligent as the average BDO fan.

More seriously, hope Parletti makes a swift and complete recovery. A ruptured appendix is no laughing matter.

My son had a burst appendix and it was a close run thing, you literally get a few hours window to identify and get operated on. I wish him all the best.

I don't particularly agree with a funding page for it but I hope they get was they need to sort it all out.

Yup, using it as a blackmail tactic is utterly shameful.
Doesn't have to "rush back", he can sit at home for 6 months recovering as long as the doc agrees he isn't fit to work, and get full whack.

She's just cacking herself he might miss all the Xmas overtime.

This.

Pretty shit and its a good job he didnt get on the plane but in terms of the cost its on him if he went abroad with no travel insurance, Ive got 27 people coming with me to Vegas for our wedding next year and the minute I booked it I told everyone to make sure they had it (a lot of companies cover your booking if you have a justifiable reason for not getting on the plane). No excuse and it costs peanuts.

I would be pretty sure that the vast, vast majority of this forum have the deepest sympathies for Dave Parletti, and their best wishes go out to him and his family.

He has just joined the Fab 5 he was saying at the weekend in place of Jim.

Surely they could help him out as a management and sponsor team.

If your travelling like he does I’m surprised he don’t have a annual insurance for all trips. Schoolboy error not to get insurance, Many are to tight to pay it. Bites you in the arse when you need it.

You have to be really silly to go abroad without insurance or the eh1c card, reads like a family man not caring about the state he could have left his family in if anything more serious had happened.
Shoved a few quid in for them but he needs to be more responsible in the future.

Aye, given the near £3k he won last week and the full sick pay he will be getting, bet he is brassic.

Schoolboy error, no travelling insurance and an out of date EHIC card. It’s an expensive mistake.

Wish him a speedy recovery, although not sure about the begging bucket approach on Fudbook.

Once the billion bdo fans in Asia get home from work and hear the news I’m sure they will easily hit the target amount.

Some very strange things get chewed over on this board. It''s like Tales of the Unexpected.
