PDC Q School 18th-21st January 2018

Biggest number of entries last year was 279. Maybe this cap is a bit premature? I doubt everyone from Q-school would turn up, there is still travelling involved and the real no hopers will have had some wising up after Q-school surely?

The difference this year that you don't have to fork out over £300 in entries on a weekend...

Still the travel and room costs though. Doubt many Europeans would come. And with a couple of extra boards and strict time discipline I think they'd be able to accomodate the extra guys.

As long as you have played at least once at Q-School you will be classed as an Associate Member of the PDPA, you can enter all 6 UK Open Qualifiers FREE (Eligibility Rules Apply) and you will also be eligible to play on the PDC Challenge Tour. 

Eligibility rules are finishing in the top 128.

Hi mate. May I ask what your ambitions are for Q-School? Giving it a real crack and a tour card, aiming for challenge tour or just going for shits and giggles?

Going for the Challenge Tour and hopefully UK opens.

Confirmed that the UK open is capped at 256. 128 tour card holders and top 128 in Qschool.

Don't you think they should of made that clear from the start......

Yeah, its should have been said from the day entries opened and the euro q school just seems a fek up from the start.

But I cant see many complaining after the event, if you cant make the top 128 of Qschool you should probably be asking if your good enough to be playing against the best in the PDC.

But how do you get top 128?
I cannot think of a fair way to select the 128.

I cant either, the only way they do it is 1 point a win in the UK, 3 points for a win in Euorpe, top 128 then ties sorted the same way the PDC do it at every event but thats not ideal.

Gives a massive unfair boost to the Europeans.

I went to Barnsely a couple of times and they could more than cope, it was 2 guests instead of 1 and that time as well.

Depends what room they use in wigan. Last time I was there for a pro tour event they were in the room at the very back and it was tiny, the main hall is a lot bigger.

I love how I try find any fault they can with the BDO or Sue Williams as if it somehow negates all the things said about the PDC.
The BDO is not perfect, but the issues are trying to deal with all those who want to play,
The PDC's problem is dealing with only 128.
