Try reading the opening post of the Lakeside Howlers Thread. Seems the BDO have major issues differentiating between Belgium and Holland

The sad reality for the BDO is in years past any player like Chizzy , Gary Anderson etc that switched was to the benefit of the PDC .

That is no longer the case anymore, there is realistically no one in the bdo that would make a significant impact on the PDC, but its now more about how much damage it will do to the BDO as their seeded players leave.

Would the PDC be any better with O Shea fitton, DeVos etc in the ranks ? No it would just add more variety but not improve the standard
However those players leaving the BDO would have more of an impact on the BDO

PDC could benefit from De Vos an extra Belgian could further open up the market there.

belgium has huybrechts, dimitri etc it is not like Germany where they are desperate and outside the European Championships being held there, Belgium is hardly a hub for venues for events

Add in the fact de vos would not improve the overall standard, just alter the variety as I said earlier

My opinions so don’t quote me on these.

Durrant will go Q School if he doesn’t win Lakeside, Will be prepared to loose semi money.
Menzies will go if he don’t make the semi
Noppert will go 100% so won’t make the Semi
Geert De Vos will go if dont make the semi
Veenstra will go if don’t make the semi
Reynolds will go if don’t make the semi
Mcgeeney will stay in BDO
Mitchell will stay in BDO
Fitton will stay in BDO
Hughes will stay BDO
Montgomery will stay BDO
Harms will stay BDO - they need leading Dutch player in BDO


There the only ones of note that I think will consider it. I think some playing a waiting game to see how many actually sign up before staying there going or not. Say 12 of the players go, Some will see that as a great chance to stay where they are and earn money.

Fitton staying in the BDO even if Tony O goes to Q school I'm shocked, What about Gary Robson will he switch?.

Tony was not available for county selection as he stated he is going Q School. He ain’t under any Lakeside contract so it’s a no brainier for him. Darryl I think will stay BDO. Robbo, Can’t see him leaving either. Think it would be a bit frosty between him and Anderson on the tour

I can't disagree with this post at all. Any player who bolts now will only hurt the BDO's bottom line.
