I have yesterdays mega-howler to add:

- The BDO release the full 9 day schedule which contains a multitude of howlers: “Scottt” Baker, “Derek” Telnekes, Michael “Uterbuchner” and “Gert” de Vos all feature as typos, Andy Baetens is Dutch (again), there is no Day 8 and two “Day 7” listings, they can't be bothered inserting the names of the two Youth finalists despite them being known for months, and the 1st mens semi final in the afternoon session is listed as starting at 19:00.

Murphipo suggested a rewording to include the word "incompetence", I decided to add the word "catalogue" in. Maybe "database" or "list" would be better?

The BDO Facebook pages describes it as "The world's biggest darts tournament" but in terms of player numbers and spectators it's neither.

Anyone know if any international TV deals have been done for it this time around, or are Channel 4/BT Sport the sole carriers again?

I'm sure someone will be along shortly to explain that it is indeed the world biggest tournament in terms of player numbers as, at the start of the season, qualification is open to literally everybody in the world without a tour card.

At least the Lakeside site have had a dose of realism in recent years, their site now says the event HAS enjoyed the highest viewing figures for darts in the world, rather than it being in the present tense

I don't want to come across as not getting into the spirit of the thread, and it certainly deserves to be discussed at length, but it's not really a Lakeside howler is it?
It's just your normal, run-of-the-mill, every day example of the BDO "family" displaying that fabled unstinting "loyalty" to each other via social media.

I suspect there'll be enough genuine Lakeside howlers to keep us entertained without unnecessarily expanding the remit of the thread
