2 great ton plus checkouts from Gerwyn where unusually for him he used the 19s route on both 138 and 116.

For anyone interested, the last three 100+ averages at the BDO World Championship were: Durrant in the quarter finals of 2018, Bunting in the second round of 2014 and Adams in the first round of 2007.

If this trend continues we should expect the next 100+ average in a semi final.
May get one in early rounds but over longer format the 80 odd avgs will prevail.

Wade looking very comfortable on stage, and this coupled with his quality double hitting might make it difficult for Raymond to get in front in this match, unless Barney can up his average to the mid 100s.

As I have said before he has always come across as a very nice down to earth bloke every time I have met him.

On a diffrent note Wade winningast week really has seen him get back to his best cant remember the last time he was hitting so many 180 and when that is combined with his mental strength on stage everyone better watch out in the coming majors. With Taylor gone their is no reason Wade can’t equal or better his TV wins in the coming years. As MvG isnt and never will be near the level of dominance that Taylor was.
Wade has proven big-stage bottle.

If he hits form he wins matches. End of.
Great 160, there.

Please God let Michael Smith win this, yes a little grumpy & gets irritated with himself way too easily, but anyone but Wade please!

Correct, takes defeat well (bit like Novak Djokovic in tennis who also gets a lot of stick) and seems a decent guy. He isn't the first and won't be the last to have issues with Adrian Lewis, so that's nothing to judge him by.

Just don't understand the totally OTT reactions to most good/great scores/checkouts, completely unnecessary and grating on the viewer & opponent.

Wade playing great and in with a great chance of winning consecutive tournaments, but how can this be. Wade would never win another tournament, nor ever be in the PDC OOM Top ten. The poster known as Garry Murphy said so.

So get it up ye, as she is never wrong.

Great 1st session, with Bullyboy doing brilliant in those last 2 legs to go into the first session interval only 3-2 down.
