Still Wade leading and has in his games come out very strong after the first break

Wade still favourite with the break of throw, and playing really well on his own throw. Bullyboy is going to need a 12 darter on Jamie's throw and continue to hold his own if he is going to get back into this match.

12 darter on Jamie's throw won't do him any good will it

Fantastic 170 checkout from the Bullyboy to break Wade and level up at 7-7. Needs a hold in this 15th leg and would then be a big favourite to win.

Given that there are PL nights in Holland may sway the decision on Barney

How often does that happen. A player hits a big c/o (here 170) then gets broken in next leg!

Frustrating. Hoping for a Smith win.

Well in Wadey, didn"t think any of them wanted that. Wade"s experience won that.
Thinking of one.

So, so lucky, takes him 9 darts to find a big treble, leaves 36 after 15 darts against throw and still he sneaks a win. So fortunate it's untrue.

While not the most prestigious tournament to win, Wade now deserves his PL spot. Michael Smith - oh dear, oh dear.

Anybody like to say that was a meaningless event...well it wasn't to those players ...and the fans..and the viewers...so I don't suppose the PDC or anybody else particularly care about a few forum members views on the event.

No one would care I would assume.
Great entertainment for the final, swung one way then the other. Missed darts, bust score. Brilliant viewing.

With Gurney not qualifying, Wade will be the No. 5 seed. Haven't checked but are the Top 8 drawn in seed order, in which case James would be in the same half as both MVG and Ando.

Edit- The following extract from the OOM Rules means that Wade will be in the same half as Ando and MVG.

The 24 competing PDC players shall be ordered in three pots of eight players each, determined in Order of Merit order after the Grand Slam qualifier.

The top eight ranked PDC players on the main Order of Merit at the cut-off date shall be seeded as per the bracket order in groups A – H with the remaining 16 players placed in main Order of Merit order in to the two remaining pots.

The eight BDO qualifiers shall be drawn randomly, one placed in each group.

Ando at 11/2 is a decent bet as well, Not much point in backing MVG at 5/6 and to be fair he is starting to get turned over regularly so wouldn't back him anyways, Hard not to back a winning player especially at 28/1 regardless of who they may meet.

spot on, Barney is not even the draw for Holland anymore, MVG is.
over 11 years since Barney won a ranking tv title...ELEVEN YEARS and he gets undeserved PL chances year in year out.

Great final but a man who played in just TWO of the world series events has won the finals...

Bit like a player coming from round one to win the World Masters...
