2018 Q-School Prediction Game
I have decided to run the game for the 2nd year running. Will try to run it the same as in previous years, and to that effect I have found the rules to last year's game and will keep them in place.
Wanffc is our reigning and defending champion from last year (beating yours truly into 2nd place).
There is a prize, put up by myself - a £10 voucher for Darts Corner.
What to do: Select 24 players who you think will be winning a tour card at Q School. I know there will be more cards than this awarded but 30+ felt too much to have people to choose. The list of entered players will be available at pdc.tv, probably from Wednesday morning.
The scoring:
6 points - player who wins a tour card on the first day
5 points - player who wins a tour card on the second day
4 points - player who wins a tour card on the third day
3 points - player who wins a tour card on the fourth day
2 points - player who is awarded a tour card through the final COMBINED Q School Order of Merit
1 point - player who lost in the Last 8 (UK)/Last 4 (EURO) ("daily tour card final") on any day and ends up leaving Q School without a card
The winner will of course be the entrant who scores the most total points with his 24-player squad. In the event of a tie, the entrant who scored the most 6-pointers will prevail. Should this also be tied, we move on to comparing the 5-pointers and so on. Should two or more entrants be completely tied through to the 1-pointers, all their remaining selected players will be looked at and their Q School Order of Merit points summed, with the higher total prevailing.
Entries with more than 24 names on them will simply be truncated after the 24th name. Please give all player names as full names - any selection listed only with a surname (no matter how recognizable) will not be included in your squad.
The results should be up Sunday night/Monday morning. I will wait until the PDC have confirmed the final order of merit to collaborate the final results.
Entries close on Thursday 18th January 2017 at 11.30am. NO EXCEPTIONS!
I will be entering the competition myself, but in the interest of transparency will be posting my entries on this thread.
Good Luck!
NB: This is a prediction game for all - any player who tries to win another forum's prediction game and loses will be ineligible for next years prediction game. The last/top 4 players will of course not be able to try other forums as they have signed a contract that is absolutely worth the paper that it is written on.

Re: 2018 Q-School Prediction Game
Those last couple of rules are of course rubbish - I will not be able to take any action against any player that breaks them. Except possibly banning them from the meat raffle.

Serious question, do you think you are in (or near) the 24 players most likely to get a card? I thought you aimed for CT?
Re: RE: Re: 2018 Q-School Prediction Game
It's a difficult one, I tend to go out first round or very deep, I'm looking at the favourites and thinking, beat him, beat him, beat him, beat him.Mgt wrote:ifm wrote:I'm beginning to wonder if my name is on the entry list.

Its an unanswerable question because I can easily get a card as I'm good enough but performing consistently?
Not sure.
