well done price. Great victory.
Are you saying you would shake hands with price after all that bullshit??

You obviously don’t play much darts. Behaving like price would cause bother most places.
If I was a professional, 2 times world champion, then yes.

its not a game in the local pub.

price acted like he usually does (some don't like it, I get that). But and was quick to go to the oche to make a point.

and how would it go down in the local pub if your opponent pushed you side?

My view: because folk like Anderson they are sometimes blinded to his arrogance, his smirking to his family and friends and his disrespect to other players. Remind me of Phil Taylor fans: boo your opponents but don't boo me.

cracking result.
I’m not talking about local pub

Do that shit in a tournament and your likely to get put on your arse.

Mvg celebrates as much as anyone, but price does shit to try to put the opponent off. That for me is not right.
No no no it's all part of the game now so throw three darts and don't clear the oche for a minute, TV will love that, best of 31 over three days as the players have a gurn off.

I don't know who came out of that looking worse; Price for being the insufferable, boorish tit-turd he normally is, or Anderson for letting it get to him so much.

A player of Anderson's experience should have been prepared for that, as Stevie Wonder could have seen that Price would overcome the difference in talent by acting up and trying to get under Gary's skin. Anderson allowed him to do that.

Anderson far too easily wound up.
Always giving it the hard done by act when things not going his way.
Price is a bit of a tit, let him get on with it and play the board.

It's a load of old bollocks really. Does absolutely nothing other than put your opponent off. Some more than others, but it has an effect.
There is no need for it imo.

I actually do get it about price over celebrating. He does need to calm down a bit. But he did nothing different to what he has been doing.

But what about Anderson. Snide comments in interviews. Refusing to acknowledge the winner when trophy presented. Pushing price and telling him to move (who does he think he is the ref?). If someone had pushed him and told him to move, some folk on here would have gone ballistic.

Read trotters post. He got it spot on imo.

Always liked Anderson. But began to see a different picture of him over last couple of years.

Actually, I'll look at it from a different perspective.
I would rather see that from Price, than boring miserableness from Durrant.

That's the thing though, it does make for a bit more of a spectacle.
Part of the reason Price got into the Premier League was because of his persona.
Today's audiences, rightly or wrongly, enjoy the interaction with the players-booing the double attempts etc.

You just need to go on YouTube and type in Gerwyn Price incident and see what comes up, there's loads of them. Does that not tell yous everything? Surely he can't keep getting away with it?

Just looking back, did Anderson just walk off and not even congratulate Price on his first major win??

I didn't see Ando shake Price's hand at all following the match.

I bet there's far more horrible stuff if you search for "Phil Taylor incident".

You need a bit of needle in darts, Keeps it interesting, Would be boring if all the players got along with each other and games were played with no spirit, celebrating or gamesmanship

Made for a final with talking points for a change. Might be for the wrong reasons but at least it will not go past as another boring final.

And now we have a needle match to look forward to next time they meet.

Correct. Anderson was the one out of order, flouncing off the stage.

Price is too OTT there is no doubt about that...but he doesn't really take any longer retrieving his darts than other players.....I do feel the PDC need to have a word to tell him to calm it down a little bit..not much though.for if players like Anderson are going to react like that then it may cause crowd trouble which is not needed...God knows how Anderson would have handled Bristow though once Bristow knew he could wind him up..
