Darts has always been full of needle and mindgames. Look at Jocky, Bristow, Taylor, Ted etc etc. If the opponents can't handle it, then that's their weakness.
People need to dry their eyes and deal with it.

Your last few posts have been spot on sir!!!
You're too kind.

I notice the filter has been changed to add in an insult when Gerwyn's nickname is typed in. Someone in the mod team is not taking this well.

No no, can't think who would do that...

While I sometimes think the reactions of players like Price, MVG, Cadby, etc are a tad over the top, at the end of the day a player should concentrate on his own game. It's the same as playing against a slow player - just step back let them clear the oche and then get on with your own game. I think in Anderson's case he was frustrated at his own game and he let Price get to him. He needs to learn to play Price in the same way he learned how to play someone like Mensur.

Hilarious articles on the Daily Star website.
One referring to Gando as an "Englishman", one calling him Gary Alexander and one quoting the tweets of "enraged" fans calling for the PDC to "bring back Phil, a true gent".

I didn't watch the final, I was too busy watching the 2007 Lakeside final between Wolfie and the late Phill Nixon on YouTube, but it seems to me that the PDC should be renamed the Pantomime Darts Club. We already had a "oh no he didn't, oh yes he did" situation with Gary Anderson trumping on stage and with all these other on stage shenanigans, the only thing missing was Christopher Biggins dressed as a Dame.

Watching the rerun of this on Sky Sports Arena. Currently at 11-9 to Anderson.

No way will Gary blow this a 2nd time.

In fairness, thus far Ando is giving as good as he was getting, which is how I remember it watching live yesterday.

You what?? Of course there is no difference.

And actually Price wasn't shouting in Anderson's face except for the times when Anderson decided to get too close to Price...
So what about Price doing it continuously with Whitlock who did nothing like what Anderson did. Is there any professional who gets on with Price do you reckon?

Watching this back, the catalyst for this kicking off big style was when Gary was on the 136 at 13 all. He threw a treble 20 and then something happened behind him which made him have to stop with his 2nd dart and move back.

No way Ando would have stopped mid throw having hit that 1st treble, had there not been a distraction behind him.

Maybe one of his own farts startled him? ;)

In all seriousness, fair and square win for Price. His celebrations only became more and more over the top when he noticed it was getting to Anderson. Gary should be old and experienced enough to deal with this by now.

All the hyperbole about this being the beginning of the end for darts is even more ott than Price's celebrations.

Oh come on ssjsa, let it go man

Anderson was getting annoyed after the first leg of the match!

As for any distraction, perhaps he had a whiff of something again??
