Final should be fun viewing. Did Ando no walk off when they played on the pro tour a couple of years back because he couldn't be doing with prices over celebrating or something???

Brilliant afternoon of darts.I want Anderson to win it but i reckon Price will get into Andersons head early on and control the game.

Have just watched the Ando vs MVG on Sky+. Didn't know the score before so was like watching live. Thought Gary was by far the better player and could have won much easier than the 16-12 score line.

This final is going to be amazing, and Gary will be so much up for this.

Have to agree however once MvG got it back to 11-11 i did think it was all over for Gary, not to be deserved winner.

Have to be honest, I had my doubts as well.

Memories of Gary blowing a 10-7 lead in a best of 21 leg final at the European Championship against MVG, came flooding through my mind. However he came through pretty easily in the end.

Expect Ando to come out firing and getting off to a flying start in the final.

MICHAEL VAN GERWEN has revealed his frustration after seeing his challenge to win a record fourth successive bwin Grand Slam of Darts title ended by Gary Anderson.

The world number one had been victorious for the past three years in Wolverhampton, and was aiming to create a new record if he retained the Eric Bristow Trophy.

However, Anderson proved too strong for his rival as he landed five ton-plus finishes in a 16-12 semi-final success, punishing 18 missed doubles from the Dutchman.

Van Gerwen's loss means that he saw his bid to retain a third successive TV title go begging, following his defeats in the European Championship and World Series of Darts Finals in the past month.

"I played a very poor game," said Van Gerwen, speaking to Dutch broadcaster RTL7. "I was horribly irritated by myself, and he didn't play his best game also.

"Gary played ok - he did the right things at the right times and I couldn't answer that. I missed too many doubles here and there and I can only blame myself."

Van Gerwen missed five darts at doubles to level the game in leg 24, and admitted it proved a turning point as Anderson pulled clear from 12-11 to complete the win.

"If that would have happened, I wonder what went on then," he said. "You just cannot miss at that moment and especially not against Gary.

"This should not happen. It just was not good enough.

"Also scoring I can do much better, and I have now shown that, and I can only blame myself for that. I have to work on that and make sure it's better next time.

"I have the Players Championship Finals next week so I just have to analyse those games again, what did I do well and what did I do wrong? When do I miss the doubles, at what moments?

"From there I can continue working but I cannot get into this position. I can do a lot better."

Van Gerwen will return to action at the Players Championship Finals from November 23-25 at the Butlin's Minehead Resort in Somerset.

He is aiming to claim that title for a fourth straight year, and a fifth time in total following his initial success in 2013.

Should be a great match, the #1 from Scotland vs the second best Welshman :-)
Likely to be a long match, Price certainly has the stamina, but Gary has plenty of gas in the tank too.

Lovely couple of double tops for Anderson to lead into the first break 3-2. As soon as Anderson gets his eye in this could be a blitz.

Extraordigary tops tops from Ando to break and lead the first session 3-2. :Scots

Every time Gezzy celebrates Gary comes back with a great score or scores.

Think Price is the perfect opponent for Ando.

Exact same thing as the Durrant match earlier in the week.

If you ignore him and let the darts do the talking he winds himself up, the minute someone reacts he knows he has them. As soon as Gary said something Gerwyn looked away and gave a nod and a smile.

Price looking a bit sheepish after the break, I reckon words were said at that break.

Gary was stupid to react in the way he did.

He needs to come back on stage and channel his disgust with Price, into wanting to smash him.

I had a phone call from someone who obviosuly isn't a darts fan - what "incident" did Mardle mean? Price acting like a Prick once more?
