Where Sky getting the 116 from?? Perhaps because the scoreboard on screen was messed up right at the start??

Thought Big Robbb played well there, every chance if he plays like that in his next two games.

Hoping Barney goes out in the group stages because after the performance tonight, he definitely doesn't look like doing any damage and doesn't deserve a place in the Premier League IMO.

todays results showed the top bdo players are leagues behind the top pdc players.
The bdo players might pick up wins against the likes of muffin man and josh payne , the jobbers of the PDC

Overall no surprises on the first day of the GSOD in terms of the results.

Although some may consider it a disappointing day for the BDO contingent, it is always difficult given they have to play the Top 8 ranked PDC players in the 1st Round of matches, and had it been either the pot 2 or pot 3 up against the Top 8, the results would not have been dissimilar.

The tournament has yet to spark into life and would be pretty sure the BDO players, Wright, Cross and Anderson will play much better over their next 2 games.

Unterbuchner has been knocking in some good performances this year, but he was really awful tonight. Did he switch to new darts? If I remember correctly he used much thinner barrels at Lakeside.

The big thing today shows is Durrant is by far and away the best the bdo has to offer overall and if he switches (along with the likes of waites and McGeeney who have said they will) there is going to be a massive gap in talent between the two organisations

The argument in previous years is the conveyor belt still runs in the bdo, it really doesn’t any more

Price vs Durrant should be the match of the afternoon, with Mensur vs Bunting a close second.

Think we will see a few more high standard games today. Wasn't Saturday last year a bit under par.

A possible clean sweep on the cards for the BDO lads this afternoon. Surely they will win st least two.
Will be leaving Nantwich shortly for my 3.5hr drive home, hopefully won't be far away for the 1pm start.

Bdo should win all 4 this afternoon. They really are playing 3rd division players, and Durrant, my pick to get to the final, will easily beat Price.

Mitchell and Williams both even money shots, not bad odds at all.

But, but, but he beat Phil Taylor at an exhibition in Norwich. I was told this made him a good player?

I would add Cross - Van den Bergh as a third. That game has potential at least.

MvG's performance against Robson was phenomenal. It should mean he's starting to build his game for World Championship. This year wasn't that good for him comparing to last years and I think that's the reason that he will be more desperated to win another world title than ever.

Nice to see Ratajski won against living legend, but it wasn't great match at all. Barney doesn't deserve Premier League spot at the moment...

thought mvg was good especially after the last 2 performances he looked interested & wanting it (what a difference a week makes) i didnt think big robbo did much wrong or played especially poorly was just out played by the best player in the world who has re discovered himself after a couple of shabby efforts, & well played ratajski,
