RE: 2018 Coral UK Open Qualification:
Players who competed at the 2018 PDC Qualifying School who wish to attempt to qualify for the 2018 Coral UK Open TV Finals should firstly enter all the six UK Open Qualifiers.

Entries should be made via the PDC Online Entry System before the deadline of 2pm on Tuesday January 30th

Following this deadline, the fields for each of the six UK Open Qualifiers will be confirmed, based on the PDC Tour Card Holders who enter and then topping up the field to 256 players based on a combined Qualifying School Order of Merit.

Any player who does not get into the 256-player field will then be permitted to enter the remaining Rileys Amateur Qualifiers from February 1 onwards if they wish to qualify as an amateur to compete at the UK Open.

Under Rule 2.11 (paragraph 3), any prize money won in the UK Open would not count towards any Order of Merit.

Hmm. Have they had to bring forward the deadline to enter UKOQ 4-6 in order to do the above? May catch out a few of the Tour Card holders.

So if you just scrape into one of the six thats the only chance you get?

I would guess you are told how many you have got into and then have the option to say no and try a Rileys one instead?
