I can the Swiss being dropped this year. And they replaced Latvia late on last year.

Think Greece is probably the only other country at risk. Think these are the two spots that could change for European countries.

There were 5 Asian nations last year will they do the same this year but just take the best 5 from the Asian tour? You would expect the Philippines to be represented well at the end of every Asian event and they didn't make it to the World Cup last year.

So Darius wins Euro tour 4 and will get a PDC ranking. Will this mean an invite to the World Cup? Will the BDO be left looking for a replacement for one of its majors again?

If you mean World Trophy then they will go down the ranking list

Philippines were scrapped due to one of their players match fixing scandal, weren't they?

Think the PDC surely wants the Japanese, Chinese and Singapore in the comp, others are not essential, IMO. Maybe a debut for South Korea on the cards, they're having the first couple Asian Tour events in Seoul, with lots of Koreans entering. Greece now should be outed as John Michael no longer has a tour card

Wouldn't it be an idea to expand the field a bit to say 40 countries? Have a prelim round of sorts or a pool system. Surely there are enough countries now with a decent darts scene to warrant some expansion.

Edit: Talking about the World Cup ofcourse.

Johan Engstrom won ET6 qualifier. He beat Marko Kantele in the final 6-4. He also beat Darius Labanauskis in the semis 6-5. Kim Viljanen withdrew sick before the start.

Still 6 events left. Not sure on clashes for the rest of the year though. Will probably wish he had gone to q-school now.
