Won't be long now Ginge.......don't stop frantically phoning round though....

"I’ve read it twice now and am getting increasingly concerned that we won’t be allowed to make any decisions on the day and can’t change anything. It’s just to find out what’s going on then we go back to counties and then have another meeting within 21 days to vote or am I reading it wrong?"

So basically no vote at the egm. Folks gather together. Hear what is said. Come back 21 days later to vote. Not that earth shattering news is it?

But what's the point of a gagged AGM?

Wouldnt be the first time they have stopped things being discussed at an AGM.

As for an EGM, I am quite sure that stopping any vote at it would be illegal.

As an aside, do EGMs have to be reported to Companies House?

So, all it is saying is that the delegates should not be allowed to vote at the EGM but take the information revealed back to their members for a more informed vote.
It's common sense i guess but of course it will mean everyone (that is interested) will know all the intimate details of the grievances.
It will be a field day on here.

Cant argue with letting the delegates know the exact nature of the allegations, time for Des to put up or shut up. If they are that bad, there is absolutely no reason for him to do so, he will be onto a winner.

Still think he should have waited until after the WDT to do all this, mind. Would probably have more ammo.

And while all this goes on are negotiations for tv deals for Lakeside, WDT and Masters happening? Have issues around Lakeside been sorted as seemed to be the case at the beginning of the year.

Then you have the NDB who are the 2nd most important national body in the WDF are seemingly in just as much bother with no board being in place.

All the members money being spent on solicitors to keep two useless people in a job.

If that isnt enough to get rid of them....

“We will be making some announcements in the next few weeks regarding next year, these are not necessarily my ideas, some have come from players, some have been in the back of my mind for a while, and some have been bounced around the rest of the board Directors, but whatever, I believe the future for our code to be looking brighter, and you can rest assured I will do all I can to ensure our success.”

So nothing has changed and the players are the ones that are effected. They are trying to plough on but there is just infighting at the top with no one leading.

Who has been organising the WDT? Is the outcome of the votes etc going to determine its future? For all of Des's faults they have run the Turkish open, supported torremolinos, and who knows what other pies he has his fingers in. If he doesn't get them out does he walk away?
