Is there a full list of players who didn’t make it?
Probably easier to list those who have made it!

People can jump up and down all they like about it being a 'farce' but what would you do in teh same situation?

It will look weird playing in that big empty hall do think they play last 8 down in reds bar it would look better on tv than empty main room

Anyway, what is more interesting is what Butlins will do when those on site try to walk into the venue!
Definetley a mistake by Butlins not making this call yesterday if it was a possibility. Nothing happened overnight that was not expected. In fact the overnight weather was NOT as bad as expected. Butlins have not done teh PDC any favours in all this.

Plenty will have brought their own booze for the rooms, will already have hit it no doubt and then will want to try and get into the marquee, can see the police getting involved.Skewball wrote:

It's usually pretty empty on the Friday.DavidB wrote:Murphio wrote:You mean to tell me they couldnt have made the call yesterday before people travelled? How many are currently on the road? Just my opinion. Absolute disgrace of Butlins trying to pull the plug at this late stage.
Hardly a disgrace from Butlins, safety is paramount and what about people going from the venue to their accommodation at night time??
Don't you think the PDC should have done the sensible thing and postponed the event as they did last night??
How many of the 4,500 were already on the way to Exeter when it was called off last night??
I agree it should have been cancelled last night but they obviously tried their best to get it on.
Either way nobody can win out of all this.DavidB wrote:Skewball wrote:Nonsenseifm wrote:Whole event should be cancelled, if it's unsafe for guests then it must be for players and staff.Skewball wrote:Insurance, pure and simple. If this call was made yesterday and the weather was fine then they'd be vilified for calling it off too early!

You are dealing with thousands of people, the vast majority will be ratarsed. Look what happened at Lakeside when they let a drunk man wander around in the snow/ice....Murphio wrote:What would be the safety issues inside the camp that would justify cancelling altogether? Just clear the paths, grit the walkways and advise people to stay indoors where possible. It's hardly Rocky 4 ffs.
